impression
I've been longing to read the book or watch its movie, and the story was enjoyable as I expected. I thought every girl would be glad to be a princess, but she wasn't. She prefer normal life as a normal high schooler, and that was interesting for me.
I also borrowed The Princess Diaries 2, so I cannot wait to read it!

impression
This is the best Dahl's story I've ever read. Although I have only read a few of his books.
The father is really nice. He knows many interesting stories and tell them to his little son every night untill the boy fells asleep. They don't have money but it looks they lead the happiest lives in the world. After I finish to read this book I was moved deeply. Add to this, our writing teacher, Dennis also recomended this book. If there is someone who wants to read this book, go to salc and find it or ask me to lend it!:)

George's Marvellous Medicine

title: George's Marvellous Medicine
author: Roald Dahl
pages: 104

summary
George is a boy who lives in a farm with his father, mother, grandma and many domestic animals. Since he lives in a farm which is far form a city, he has no friend to play with, so he often stays at home with his granny and play with animals. She is nasty and mean like a witch, and he doesn't like her.
One day, his mum ask him to stay at home to take after the house and give his granny medicine after lunch. While his mother is out, the old women bully him(mentally) as usual. Then he get a great idea to beat his granny, and that is to make a medicine. He take a huge pan and put everything he think will be effective on his granny and boil them up. That medicine is worked well to the old lady, but he get another problem...

impression
The story was really great! I like the scene of making a medicine. He put many interesting things and the materials sometimes looks harmful rather than effective. I'd better not to try to make the medicine. Plus, his fathers reaction after he saw the medicine's effect on granny is also intersring. He must have been upset about it, but it seemed he was really enjoying the terrible situation. I think it is one of a black joke and the joke is one reason why I like Roald Dahl's story.
